The laboratory is equipped with modern examination methods and testing machines. Technology transfer is possible with the existing expertise and equipment as well as the processing of research projects.
Description
The laboratory is excellently equipped for teaching with modern examination methods and testing machines. With the existing expertise and equipment, technology transfer and processing of research projects is also possible.

- Metallography (macro and micro-grinding)
- Light microscope with connected image analysis
- Stereo microscope with macro magnifier, heat treatment furnaces for temperatures up to 1200°C
- Macro and microhardness testing devices (HB, HV, HRC)
- Pendulum impact mechanism for notch impact resistance testing on metals (150J working capacity) and plastics (1J, 4J working capacity)
- Computer-controlled universal testing machines (10 kN and 100 kN) also for tensile tests at elevated temperatures
- Hydraulic pulser (20 kN), Differential thermoanalysis (DSC), Dynamic-mechanical analysis (DMA) with the possibility to investigate creep processes
- Ball indentation and shore hardness
- Heating table up to 350 °C (as microscopic table additive)
- Microtome for thin-cutting, scanning electron microscope (REM) with ergiedispersive X-ray analysis (EDX, also for light element detection)
- Electrochemical corrosion test bench (potentiostat with thermostatizable test chamber)
